On February 5, the First Membership Congress of the Sixth Guangdong Basketball Association was successfully convened in Guangzhou. The meeting not only elected a new council and leadership team—with Du Feng elected as president—but also witnessed significant personnel and membership developments: Zhong Qiao, Chairman of Career Sports, founder of BSKIP and Career Club, was formally elected as Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Basketball Association. Guangdong Career Basketball Club Co., Ltd. successfully joined as an institutional member of the Guangdong Basketball Association, injecting fresh momentum into the development of basketball in Guangdong. Attendees included Zhang Dongjin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau; Xian Dongmei, Party Secretary of the Guangdong Ersha Sports Training Center; and Cai Jianxiang, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Federation.

As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the sports sector, Mr. Zhong Qiao's appointment and membership in Guangdong Life Basketball Club Co., Ltd. will further strengthen the collaboration between the Guangdong Basketball Association and grassroots sports organizations. This partnership will provide robust support for enhancing the province's basketball competition system, developing youth basketball talent, and promoting basketball participation among the general public.

The Guangdong Basketball Association has undergone over two decades of development. Through concerted efforts from all parties, the sport's popularity across the province has steadily grown, contributing significantly to the advancement of mass sports. At the 15th National Games, the Guangdong Basketball Association organized and selected 91 athletes to represent Guangdong in all seven basketball events of the mass group competition. They ultimately secured 5 gold and 2 silver medals, complementing the competitive group's impressive haul of 5 gold and 1 bronze medals. This outstanding performance fully demonstrated Guangdong basketball's formidable comprehensive strength. With the CBA and WCBA leagues currently in full swing and Guangdong's professional teams achieving breakthroughs across the board, grassroots basketball in Guangdong is poised for a significant development opportunity in 2026—the launch of the “All-Region Collaborative” Guangdong City Basketball League (Yue BA).

As the core sports initiative spearheaded by Mr. Zhong Qiao, Career Sports has achieved remarkable success in both grassroots and professional basketball. Since its founding in 2020, the league's footprint has continuously expanded, now covering 350 cities nationwide. In the 2025 Super Three League, Guangdong Bao'an Career Club made its first-ever appearance in the national finals and clinched the runner-up title, achieving the best result in the team's history.
