On April 28, the Second General Assembly of Members and the Inauguration Ceremony for the New Board of Directors of the Shenzhen Longhua District Association of Returnees from Overseas Studies were held with great fanfare in the conference hall of the District Committee’s main building. Over 130 overseas returnees gathered for the event, joined by representatives from the municipal and district-level associations of overseas returnees as well as friendly business associations, who were invited to attend and witness the association’s entry into a new phase of development. Following a secret ballot by a show of hands, Mr. Zhong Qiao, Chairman of Career Sports and a pioneer in entrepreneurship among overseas returnees, was successfully elected as Vice President of the association. Thanks to his deep expertise and commitment to the sports industry, he will serve in this dual capacity to inject new momentum into the sports industry in Longhua and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

As a non-profit association under the guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Longhua District Committee, the Longhua District Overseas Returnees Association has, since its establishment in December 2021, brought together high-caliber talent—over 81.4% of whom hold master’s degrees or higher—and developed five signature initiatives, including “Red Roots” heritage exploration and industry dialogue. The association has won the Best Organization Award at the Shenzhen International Association Conference for two consecutive terms, establishing itself as a vital platform for uniting overseas returnees and serving the local community. At this conference, relevant reports and amendments to the bylaws were reviewed and approved, and a new leadership team was elected. Chen Yang was re-elected as President, while Mr. Zhong Qiao, along with 11 industry elites, formed the team of Vice Presidents.
After returning from studying abroad, Mr. Zhong Qiao dedicated many years to the sports industry. In 2018, he founded Shenzhen Career Sports Culture Co., Ltd., creating well-known IPs such as the BSK National Basketball Championship and building a full-industry-chain ecosystem encompassing event operations, digital sports, and sports education, thereby establishing the company as a benchmark for digital operations in China’s sports business sector.
In his new role, Mr. Zhong Qiao will leverage the association’s platform to connect with high-caliber overseas returnees, closely align with the core initiatives of “Digital and Smart Longhua,” and promote the deep integration of the sports industry with the digital economy, youth entrepreneurship, and public welfare. Moving forward, he will lead Career Sports in building a bridge for sports exchange among overseas returnees, contributing their wisdom and dedication to the development of “Digital and Smart Longhua” and the high-quality growth of cultural and sports initiatives in the Greater Bay Area!
